Mica Ceramic Roll are designed to separate refractory lining from coils in induction furnace. It provides electrical insulation between the coil and molten metal. The ceramic roll prevents excessive heat loss and provide vapour barrier against carbon gases. It also prevents the over sintering of the refractory lining by maintaining sufficient temperature between the melt and the coil. It protects the coils against overheating and provide superior slip plane properties, while protecting the coils from expansion and contraction force during the lining campaign. Additionally, mica ceramic roll facilitates the push out of worn lining (crucibles).

Mica Washers are used for thermal & electrical insulation. This product have low thermal expansion, low thermal conductivity & withstand very high dielectric strength & high temperature and have good mechanical strength before and after machining.
Mica Roll is electric thermal insulation and a flexible composite material consisting of Phlogopite Mica paper and glass cloth bonded with Silicon resin. These flexible and thermally resistant sheets are mainly used as slip plane insulation between the crucibles and induction coil in Induction furnace. This saves substantial energy costs by preventing heat loss in the crucibles; dampens expansion of crucibles that prevents damage of the coils; serves as an electrical barrier against leakage currents and flash over; serves as an additional wall in case of leak-through of molten metal; prevents moisture and gasses from the melt to condense on the coils. It also facilitates easy removal of crucibles with mica side towards the refractory and enables quick economic pre-sintering of the refractory when wrapped around reusable formers.
