A PIR-based motion detector is used to sense movement of people, animals, or other objects. They are commonly used in burglar alarms and automatically-activated lighting systems. They are commonly called simply "PIR", or sometimes "PID", for "passive infrared detector".

The Honeywell 951WG is a miniature recessed contact with 12 wire leads. You can use the 951WG recessed contact to protect doors and windows from intrusion. As the included magnet is only 3/4 long, the 951WG is ideal for windows and doors that have a thinner frame such as casement windows and sliding windows. You can order the miniature recessed contact in your choice of white (951WG-WH) or brown (951WG-BR).

Designed for the release of the Lyric Controller, the SiX series sensors communicate using 2.4GHz WIFI signal and offer 128-bit AES encryption for increased protection against RF jamming and hacking. The Honeywell FG730 is a dual technology glass break detector which listens for the frequency of broken glass, protecting all windows within its range. The FG730, equipped with Honeywells FlexGuard technology is the most popular glass break detection sensor in the security marketplace. The FG730 detects and confirms both flex (impact) and audio (shattering) frequencies, allowing it to analyze an event that accurately simulates a breaking window rather than other similar noises. Both flex and audio signals must be detected within a specified time frame, cutting down on the potential for false alarms.

The Minisense 100 from Measurement Specialties is a low-cost cantilever-type vibration sensor loaded by a mass to offer high sensitivity at low frequencies. Useful for detecting vibration and tap inputs from a user. A small AC and large voltage (up to +/-90V) is created when the film moves back an forth. A simple resistor should get the voltage down to ADC levels. Can also be used for impact sensing or a flexible switch.Comes with solder pins that allows for vertical mounting.
