Scientific & Analytical Instruments offers Diffusion Pumps designed and manufactured to suit the need of industrial and Laboratory applications. Main Body of these pumps is fabricated fro S.S. and Jet Assembly is manufactured from Aluminium / S.S. These Diffusion Pumps gives Higher pumping speed, low back streaming and achieve Vacuum upto 1 x 10-6 mbar with DC 704 Oil. Small Diffusion Pumps with 3' Port are Air cooled while all larger pumps are water cooled.
Principle of OperationPump fluid is heated in the boiler to produce a vapor which passes up through the interior of the jet assembly and emerges from the jets as high-velocity Vapour streams. The vapor streams condense on the cooled pump-body wall and drain into the boiler at the bottom of the pump for recirculation.
A portion of system gas which arrives at the Diffstak pump-inlet is trapped in the vapor stream from the first-stage jet. The gases are compressed and transferred to the next stage. This process is repeated through the pump jet-stages until the gases are removed by the backing pump through the cooled backing-condenser.
The fractionating feature of the Diffstak design provides a means of purging the fluid charge of undesirable light fractions and foreign matter and the process helps significantly towards the attainment of a low ultimate vacuum.

The standard Vacuum Pumping Systems consists of Rotary Vacuum Pump, Diffusion pumps and other hardware like valves, baffles, collar, gauge and plumbing lines etc., fully integrated and wired. Special Vacuum Pumping Systems are offered with Rotary Pumps, Root Pumps & Diffusion pumps or combination as per customer requirements.
The Vacuum Pumping Systems, are trolley mounted for easy movement, are capable of achieving an ultimate vacuum of10-6 m.bar. Liquid nitrogen trap (optional) is to minimize the back-streaming of oil vapors, and ensures clean and better ultimate vacuum of 10-6 m.bar range. The vacuum pumping systems are fitted with Pirani Gauge to measure the roughing and backing vacuum & Penning gauge for measuring the high vacuum.
These high vacuum pumping systems have been used in both laboratory and industrial applications. These systems are are suitable for the most of the vacuum applications as per the customer specifications.
