The top of the box is same as a RSC. The four flaps that form the bottom panel are die-cut. To set up, the user folds the largest bottom first, then the two end panels. When the remaining bottom panel is folded and pressure applied near the centre, the flap "snaps" into the slot created by the other panels. This design is compatible for a small packing line where not many boxes are packed using semi automated equipment. The box is not suitable for heavy products because the bottom is not fully sealed. This is not a popular design.

This type of corrugated box is mainly used for batteries, washing machines, refrigerators etc. Half Slotted Container Corrugated Box is available in different custom sizes and designs. We also supply full telescopic half slotted (FTHS) by which is two HSC’S of equal depth (generally used in fruits packaging).
