To show the differences in expansion of different liquids over the same temperature comprising five bulb tubes with plastic scales, mounted in a frame and supported in a G.I. Sheet water trough 240 x 100 x 75mm deep. The frame has clamps to secure it to the trough and two cross members, the lower cross member having holes and upper tubules to locate the bulb tubes in bungs. Complete with 35mm dia bulbs and 15cms scales etc.

With insulated handles diameter 50mm. Can be used in conjunction with the hollow conductor sphere for showing that an electrostatic charge resides on the outer surface of a conductor (by removing the outer surface and leaving the inner sphere uncharged). Complete with spherical conductor on insulated stand with base.

For Meldes and other experiments. A steel rod is clamped near one end through two 4mm terminals. The rod passes through a small solenoid and between the poles of a magnet. Adjustable contact points fitted through a second pair of terminals make alternating connection with an adjustable contact on the rod. The rod has a small hole at one end for the attachment of thread which passes over a bench mounting pulley and supports a scale pan. For 2v a.c. supplies. For determining maximum density of water, made of G.I. Sheet cylinder 50mm dia x 300mm height mounted on a base having 2 tubulatures for thermometers, with a gallery of 60mm x 150mm for placing mixture of ice and salt. The respective temperatures of water at the top and bottom of the inner cylindrical vessel are measured over a period as the water cools. Complete with bungs and thermometers.

A copper cylindrical vessel of 105 x 85mm Ht x dia is fitted with 5 different 150 x 3mm Length x dia metal rods of copper, brass, iron, aluminium and zinc, each having adjustable index mark at its base.

With a glass U tube with a bulb and tap at the upper end of one limb other limb open. From the bottom of the U is an outlet tube which passes through a bung and terminates in a tap. The bulb has a capacity of 7cm and the stem beneath is graduated 3 x 0.1cm allowing for expansion over a range of 100C. The apparatus can be supported by a single clamp and only 20 cm of mercury is needed. Complete with instructions for use.

Comprising six equal rods of copper, iron, lead, brass, Zinc and aluminium, each 130 x 3mm diameter, mounted in corks with their lower ends in a tank 210 x 75 x 75mm. The tank is supported on four legs at a height of approximately 170mm above the bench.

In use, the rods are lightly coated with paraffin wax and the rates of melting are compared.

A wide bore glass tube is mounted vertically in front of a scale graduated 0 to 60cm.

Zero corresponds to the inside of the closed (top) end of the tube. Air is confined in the tube by a coloured oil contained in a metal pressure chamber which is fitted with a Bourdon type gauge calibrated 0 to 50 lbs. In & 3.5 Kg/cm actual pressure.

A valve is fitted to the air inlet tube from the pump. As the pressure in the oil chamber is increased, oil in its actual (total) pressure is directly indicated. The tube is of extra strong glass and plastic safety screen is secured is fitted on front.

Comprising two brass cylinders 19mm and 38mm diameter respectively fitted with pistons and connected by a brass tube. For loading the mass the pistons are provided with rods terminating in circular platform of 75mm diameter each. The apparatus is mounted on a polished wooden base 200 x 100 x 22mm and overall height with both pistons at the bottom of their cylinders is 245mm.

To show force of contraction or expansion. A heavy cast iron base with 4 uprights, on one end of which is fitted a hand nut, the other drilled with holes to carry a cast iron rod of 75x 6mm size bearing against narrow flats, overall size 330 x 60 x 60mm with 12 cast iron breaking rods.

Comprising two iron casted stand of 180mm height joined by two chrome plated rods, with an expansion rod, length 380mm, fixed on one stand and resting on a Friction Pointer placed at the other. With graduated scale 0-90 with 3 expansion bars of Iron, Aluminium and Brass.

Comprising a brass ball 25mm dia, a brass ring mounted on a rod with a wooden handle. A chain is provided to hold the ball with the ring. The ball passes through the ring when cold but will not pass through after being heated.

This apparatus enables electric field patterns to be shown in much the same way that magnetic fields are demonstrated with iron filings, either by direct viewing or on an overhead projector. The apparatus comprises a clear plastic dish. 90 x12mm diameter x depth, and base 140x125mm, which carries a pair of 4mm socket terminals/electrode holders. Alongside each terminal is a thumb screw system which permits fine height adjustment of the electrodes, Six electrodes are supplied, two point source, two line source and two circular rings of 35 and 70mm diameter respectively.

The Apparatus consists of a 15cm adjustable mirror scale mounted on a sturdy support 30cm high, an adjustable hook and a spring with a weight hanger are attached to the top of the rod.
