Globe Control Valve

Type 3241 threaded seat globe valve is designed for general service applications up to the limits of the ANSI 300 pressure class rating. These general service applications include process events such as erosion, abrasion, corrosion, cavitation, and flashing found in most process control industries.

The Type 3241 has several standard options such as temperature extensions, metal bellows seals, heating jacket, high performance metal sealing trim, soft sealing trim, noise attenuation and cavitation prevention trim sets. In addition to these options the valves can be specialized to meet the exact process needs such as NACE version for sour gas service, cleaned for specific service (e.g. Oxygen, Chlorine, High Purity, etc.), or the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) design.

Axial Flow Control Valve

The Axial Flow Control Valve is design for special applications requiring high flow capacity, the precise control from a linear motion closure member, and reduced turbulence and vibrational effects.

An ideal application is centrifugal compressors, as commonly used in gas transmission compressor stations, petro-chemical installations, which display a potentially destructive phenomenon called surge. Surge is a reversal of high velocity flow that can have catastrophic consequences to the compressor. To protect the compressor, the anti-surge valve control valve must open very fast and eject the surge. These valves have to be fast acting but also have high capacity and anti-noise designs

Due to the high capacity of the axial flow valve, several stages can be used in order to reduce the noise level of these applications. The crank-lever system design of the Axial Flow Control Valve, transform a small torque into a big thrust, allowing the valve to require smaller actuator sized, which in consequence increases precision and speed of control.

These control valves can be equipped with SAMSON GROUP actuators and valve accessories such as positioners, limit switches, and solenoid valves.

The Type 3281 threaded seat globe control steam converter valve is designed for general steam conditioning applications up to the limits of the ANSI 900 pressure class rating. The Type 3281 steam conditioning control valve standard design includes a noise reduction element and the options for temperature extensions.

The Type 3281 can be assembled with a pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic actuator also offered by the SAMSON group to complete the control valve construction. Lined Butterfly Valve

The Pfeiffer BR10a PTFE lined double eccentric control butterfly valve is designed for general service applications up to the limits of the ANSI 150 pressure class rating. These general service applications focus on extremely corrosive media found in chemical processes. The Pfeiffer BR10a design increases flow capacities but also reduces the pressure recovery factor making the design more susceptible to cavitation, flashing, and flow noise generation. The double eccentric design of this butterfly valve will reduce the breakaway torques required from the actuator.

The Pfeiffer BR10a can be assembled with a pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic actuator also offered by the SAMSON group to complete the control valve construction. Check Valves

The Ringo Check Valves are offered in various versions to meet the application specifications. These Ringo Check Valve versions include swing check valves, piston check valves, dual plate check valves, butterfly check valves, emergency assisted check valves, testable check valves, and tilting disc check valves.

Check valves are designed to meet requirements of ANSI B16.34, BS-1868, ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.10, API 602, API 6D and/or API 6A. For nuclear service ASME III, AD-Mekblatter and RCC-M are available. These control valves can be equipped with SAMSON GROUP actuators, manual operators, and valve accessories.

  • Swing Check Valves: Valve disc is provided with anti-rotations pin. Full opening swing check valves to API 6D or API 6A suitable for pig passage are also available.
  • Piston Check Valves: Normally up to sizes 2, (larger sizes are also available) both T-Pattern and Y-Pattern are available.
  • Dual Plate Check Valves: Valves provided with double disc and spring. They are available with metal to metal seats and soft seats. This design reduces substantially the weight of the valve as well as the face to face dimension.
  • Tilting Disc Check Valves: When the check valve must be operated by a very small pressure drop this design is used. Valve disc is balanced in such a way that very small variations of pressure open/close the valve. This reduces substantially the pressure drop across the valve.
  • Emergency Assisted Check Valves: Used in the turbine steam extractions of power plants. Valve is provided with a pneumatic piston and solenoid valve in such a way that when a closing signal is received in the solenoid valve the air in the pneumatic piston is released starting the closing stroke of valve disc and ensuring fast valve closing by fluid-media.
  • Testable Check Valves: In those cases when indication of check valve position is required the valve is provided with a position indicator and limit switches. Also an operating lever is available in case proper rotation of hinge shaft must be checked.
  • Butterfly Check Valves: Normally used in the outlet of large size pumps or inlet of hydro power plant turbines. Valve can operate like a butterfly valve but also like a check valve by fluid-media.
