Stainless steel annular corrugated metallic flexible hoses are manufacturing in austantic steel ANSI 321, 316, 316L & 304 grades conforming to BS 6501, Part-1 : 2004 / ISO 10380 : 2012. The annular corrugated metallic hose body provided the flexibility and pressure tight core of the assembly. We also manufacture highly flexible close pitch hoses for special applications. Stainless steel annular corrugated metallic flexible hose are offered from Size : 1/4 to 12. When pressure is applied, unbraided corrugated hose tends to elongate axially. To restrain this, a external layer of S.S. wire braid is provided. The braid also makes the assembly pressure resistant.Sometimes two or even three layers of braiding are provide for high pressure applications. The braiding is highly flexible & follows the movement of the hose. The braid is normally manufactured in S.S. 304 Wire, how ever S.S. 316 & S.S. 321 braid can also be manufactured. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is an engineered fluoropolymer. Oustanding resistance to chemicals is one of its primary attributes. A broad temperature range of -100F to 500F (-73C to 260C) make this hose material suitable for the majority of fluid and ambient temperature conditions found in industry. An extremely low coefficient of friction, (0.05 to 0.20), provides a non-stick surface. Water absorption of PTFE is negligible, less than 0.01% by ASTM test, and it is FDA-approved for food and pharmaceutical use. Additionally PTFE will withstand flexing and vibration without failure from flex fatigue. PTFE is chemically inert, it will not break down or deteriorate in service and it has an unlimited shelf life because properties do not change with age or exposure to weather.

Application:

• PTFE has the best corrosion resistance, chemical and dielectric properties, non-aging, non-stick, in the absence of load in the -180C to +260C temperature use, have the lowest coefficient of friction.
• Widely used in the hot melt adhesive machine, coating machine, hot melt coating machine, brake pipes, mold temperature machine, high temperature steam, shoes machine, electrical insulation, instrumentation, medical, etc.

Hose LinerSeamless extruded PTFE tube. The extrusion, heat treatment and quality control programmes are designed to produce the best quality PTFE tube possible, ensuring minimum porosity and maximum flexibility.

Hose Braid:Braided from AISI grade 304 stainless steel wire, bright hard drawn to a minimum 1700 N/mm2 tensile strength. The braiding process is closely controlled to ensure even tensions and the correct braid angle, to give minimum expansion/contraction under pressure.

Temperature & Pressure

• Temperature affects the Maximum Working Pressure (MWP) as listed above, so for temperatures above 130C reduce the MWP by 0.75% for each 1C above 130C. Example: at 180C, reduce the MWP by (180 130) x 0.75 = 37.5%.
• Pressure Ratings above 100 Bar (1500 psi) only apply for the transfer of non-penetrating fluids. If gases or penetrating fluids are used in the application, or used during pressure testing at pressures above 100 Bar, HPG grade hose is required.
• Maximum Working Pressures (MWP) listed are calculated on the basis of a 3:1 safety factor relative to the burst pressure, so Burst Pressure = 3 x MWP. If MWP is required based on a 4:1 safety factor (e.g EN 16643 requirement), multiply the listed value by 0.75.
