RAVs areused in Bulk Handling System for free flowing dry powder, granular, crystal or pellets form of material. It is usually fitted below Chain conveyor / Screw Conveyor / Hopper / Silos / Bag filter / ESP/ Bins etc.
The main function of a RAV is to provide a rated Drop-through discharge, which determines the size and capacity of a RAV Besides this, it also functions as a rotary airlock to seal and prevents possibility of back flow of material in a pressurized system.
The selection of a RAV depends on three main factors i.e. Material density, Capacity desired & flowability of material. Temperature of dust and dust characteristics decide the material of construction of RAV.
RAVs are used for handling various materials includingcement, ore, sugar, minerals, grains, plastics, dust, fly ash, flour, gypsum, lime, coffee, cereals, pharmaceuticals etc.
Submerged ash conveyor isused to handle boiler bottom ash conveying system. Bottom ash is continually collected, cooled and dewatered with a submerged Belt/ Chain conveyor. Bottom ash continually falls from the furnace throat, through the insulated bottom ash chute, and into the water-filled submerged conveyor trough.

sahyadri engineering has started a production of cement /flyash /microsilica silo with silo capacity ranges from 5mt to 200mt. sahyadri engineeringefficiency in producing quality products have dramatically increased the commercial value of these products. silos can contain varying capacities of powder materials and are processed using state of the art technology. the use of silos mainly lies in storing and discharging construction materials such as cement, flyash, ggbs, lime, etc. some silos can hold comparatively lower measurements and therefore, can be taken from place to place for their capacity to move. the silos are layered with primer coating and final coating as per customers requirements. the silo is painted in specially made painting cabinets. only after all this procedure can a silo be packed for transportation to the destined construction site. cement silos have huge leg-stands to hold the weight of the heavy loads. ladders and upper parapets are used to reach the topmost sections. a silo has a valve in the discharging section that can be either controlled manually or automatically giving the process a well determined flexibility.
