1 Products availableDevice Description : The metering bar coater is a table top instrument with a quick clamping unit for the sample . the coating materials (like a piece of paper and board) lies on a rubber – melinex surface . A metering bar is clamped into a clamp system and the coating colour is put on front of the bar . the motor moves the bar with a predefined speed over the coating material and stops when the end is reached . the bar is lifted off the coated samples and motor moves the system back to start position.
Test Description : The sample us clampled on the coater . A metering bar is slected and put into the bar holder . the bar is at starting position. The coating colour is poured onto the coated materials in front of the bar . the motor starts and the coated colour is evenly distributed on the sample . the coating thickness can be between 4um and 120um and is reached by selecting the special metering bar.

Definition : This method is used to measure the absorbency rate of paper for printing inks having an oil vehicle. It
is normally used only for easily permeable papers such as news, book, and mimeograph ; however, it can be helpful for any paper where the absorbency of an oil based vehicle is important.
Device Description : The instrument chamber has an orifice for holding the liquid medium and a clamping device for holding the material. The penetration timer stops automatically after releasing the sample holder. Double processed castor oil having viscosity of 700 ± 30 centipoises at 250 C or mineral oils of the same viscosity and comparable wetting characteristics are used.
Test Description : A correlation has been established between the results of this test and the printing quality of uncoated papers. The oil absorbency of paper is related to the porosity and internal structure of the paper.

Test Description: Abrasion resistance is measured in a laboratory by rotating a paper sample under abrasive wheels for a set length of time, and then measuring the sample's change in weight. Wet or dry abrasion resistance tests can be performed. The stainless steel Rapid Sheet Dryer is designed for shortening the drying time of wet pulp sheet or paper samples to determining the dry weight or moisture content.
A wet sample is placed between the cover and the heated surface to dry , the temp of the dryer plate is adjustable through thermostat to control the drying condition , after prescribed time the sample can be weighted to determine its moisture contents Square Drying Plates.
