Definition : Rigidity of the fluted structure is one of the essential characteristics of corrugated board and flat crush resistance is necessary to prevent crushing of the flute structure on the corrugator and other converting equipment. The corrugating medium test (CMT) permits the evaluation of corrugating medium before it is fabricated into combined board, and may also be used as a basis for judgement of fabrication efficiency.

Device Description : the concora medium fluter consists of 2 directly heated segmentds with 175+- 5*C , covered through a front plate and pressed against each other with definite force . the segmentd are directly heated with 200 W heating power . the sample is put on top and falls out ready from an opening in the lower area of the fluter. The sample is glued on a tape with the help of a “Third Hand” and is then ready for testing in a crush tester.
Test Description : the sample is put into the opening on the top of the instrument . by pressing the start button , the stripe with 6”x ½” (152.4 x 12.7 mm) dimesion is inserted into the machine and falls out ready formed on the lower part . the sample is then laid onto the opened “Third Hand” the holder is closed and the tape is glued onto the sample . this sample is now ready for testing.

Device Description : for the determination of the water absorption of sized paper and board , including fiberboard under standard conditions . A test piece is weighed immediately before and immediately after exposure one of the surface of the water for specified time , followed by blotting. Device Description : the Burst Tester is built on a sturdy aluminum frame and the results are displayed on a digital load indicator . the Burst tester works according to Mullen principle . A piston pumps glycerin under the circular elastic diaphragm. The diaphragm bulges and distorts the sample, which is clamped around the periphery around the clamping bell. Pressure is increased until the sample is burst.
Test Description : It is measured by giving a hydraulic pressure through a rubber diaphragm on a circular area of the specimen of CBF under test conditions. Force requires to burst or complete rupture of the Paper/ board is measured visually. The bursting strength value is expressed in terms of kgs/cm2. The bursting strength defines the materials quality compare to the others. The value of the bursting strength will give the indication that how much weight may be carried in the Paper/box.

Since fiberboard shipping containers are frequently subjected to loads which are resisted by compression strength, this property is an important measure of the performance characteristic of corrugated board, useful in controlling the manufacturing process and in measuring the quality of the finished product. The compact , one spindle crush tester shows the measuring value on the four line digital display . the accuracy is 1+- % in a range of 10-5000 N . the measuring values are displayed in Newton.
Test Description : the operator pushes the quick button to drive the plates to the initial position to the desired tests . the sample is placed between the pressure plates , and the start button is pressed . the upper testing plates descend with the preset speed and compresses the sample . A sudden drop in the force shows the simple break. The values are displayed and plate is returned to initial position . after having taken out the sample , the instrument is ready for another test.
Dope Tester is used to determine the physical impact of a package being dropped from a height in any position. Control and hoisting features facilitates all respects of operation: drop height setting and test reset.
