A piston equipped with O-ring seals is made to slide in the body bush assembly by this mechanism. The bush is drilled with a number of holes, and connected with each valve port. The arrangement of the O-ring grooves and holes ensure that different ports are interconnected by movement of the piston.

Details :

• ZNCN/562 range of valves – main air supply can be connected to any of the 5 threaded ports. If valves utilize an air return mechanism or stroke 45, then main air supply should be connected to the inlet port. Since they are of ‘supply sealed mid-position type’, when the piston is in mid position, only the supply port is sealed and isolated.
• ZNCN/564 range of valves – they are same as ZNCN/562 externally and by dimensions. The difference is that, in the mid-position, all 5 ports are isolated and sealed from each other.

More about Piston Valves :

• ZNCN/562 Supply Sealed Mid-position – in this case, supply air goes to the inlet port A and connects to the cylinder port ‘B’.The exhaust air passes from cylinder port ‘D’ to ‘E’, the exhaust port.
  • In the mid-position, inlet port ‘A’ is sealed and separated from others, while cylinder ports ‘B’ and ‘D’ are connected for exhaust.

• ZNCN/564 Fully Sealed Mid-position – during valve operation, the piston moves to the other end of the valve, the supply air connects to port ‘D’ and the exhaust air passes from port ‘B’ to port ‘C’.
  • Pedal operated, spring return - Manual operating force required is 45N roughly. To avoid accidental operation, install this valve in a protected position.Instead a cover guard can be fitted.
  • Treadle Set-Reset - Manual operating force needed is about 20N. To avoid accidental operation, install   the valve in a protected position.
