The SAAN granulators are extremely quick and efficient mixers of powder. Dry mixing is the first step of the process. After the products are mixed by means of our unique, bottom drive rotating tool (impeller), a binder is introduced into the product. The binder can be added in dry form or sprayed in as part of a binding solution. Spraying occurs though one or more spray nozzles and is quickly dispersed into the product by mixing action of the main mixing tool (impeller) and the chopper blade.
The chopper blade, which is positioned in the highest circumferential area of the product acids in de-lumping. Once all of the solution is in the granulator, the impeller and chopper work together during the wet massing phase to produce dense granules of uniform particle size. The system quickly forms granules that are then easily and automatically discharged from a port in the bowls side. The wet granules are generally milled as they come out of the granulator. The granules then need to be dried in SAAN Fluid Bed Dryer machine.
The equipment has a cutting edge technology in high capacity sifting and delumping technology.
The sifting chamber rotates along with the drive at rpm ensuring discharge up to 2 tons per hour.
1) The cantilever length of the arm can be increased or decreased.
2) The discharge height of the sieving chamber can be made adjustable.
3) The admit distance between the support legs can be widened or decreased depending upon the vessel into which the discharge takes place.
The top weight on the motor shaft rotates in a plane close to the center of the mass of assembly. Rotation of the top eccentric weights creates vibration on the horizontal plane which causes material to move across the screen cloth to periphery increasing the horizontal throw, causing oversize material to discharge at a faster rate.
The bottom eccentric weight rotates below the center of mass creating tilt on the screen giving vibration in verticals and tangential plane. Increasing the verticals component of motion, this promotes turnover of material on the screen surface helping maximum quantity of undersize material to pass through the screen. Rugged springs placed over the circular motor base amplifies the vibration.
Ball Mill is one type of milling machine which is used to mill or grind the materials such as large sized particles either active drug ingredients or excipient and agglomerates.
Ball mill consists of horizontal rotating cylindrical vessel or shell with the length slightly greater than its diameter which is mounted on a metallic frame in such a way that it can be rotated on its longitudinal axis. The axis of the shell or vessel may be either horizontal or at a small angle to the horizontal. The cylindrical vessel contains balls that occupy 30-50% of the mill volume.
The grinding media is the balls which may be made up of stainless steel. The ball size depends upon the feed and the dia of the mill.
It is an equipment where the FBD bowl containing dried Granules are hydraulically lifted and tilted into a container, a multimill or a sifter as per the process requirements.
The process consists of bringing the FBD bowl beneath the cone of the tipper. The inverted cone of the tipper is lowered such that it touches the flange brim of the FBD bowl. Both are then clamped together with quick fixing levers. The whole assembly is then raised hydraulically to align with the receiving container / process equipment. At the discharge there will be butterfly valve.

For 500 Kgs. and above capacity FBD bowl, Twin Column arrangement is provided as shown.
Can be bowl tilting type (through a geared motor or manually)

The anchor with the dish end and drive can be moved up and down for ease of removal andcleaning of the anchor.
The bowl can be moved up and moved for discharging the slurry into smaller capacity containers
and taking it into the granulation for loading.

The system comprises a twin lobe vacuum duty air cooled pump, a cyclone separator, a bypass valve damper, two stage food grade silicon coated polyester filters, associated pipe lines and the food grade hose pipe with pickup device.
Fluid bed drying is a commonly used process in pharmaceutical industry due to its highly efficient drying of granulated material obtained from wet granulation.
The drying is achieved through a combination of moisture diffusion from the solid material to the heated air stream and the removal of that moisture by forced air convection. The product to be dried is transformed into low expanding fluidized bed with the aid of drying air added from below by means of specialized inlet air distributor. In this condition, the particles are isolated from one another and kept in constant motion. The high specific surface of the fluidized product helps great amounts of heat transfer.
Conical screw mixers (also called Nauta Mixers) make use of a conical chamber with a verticals screw that mixes the powder or substance.

The conical mixer can be equipped with a high speed rotor for liquid addition or de-lumping product. Rotating up to 20m/s, this rotor creates vortex effect and injects the liquid through the paddles directly in the product resulting in an excellent dispersion or coating. By spraying the liquid in the mass itself in a vortex, we avoid over-moistening of particles and risk of sticking phenomena on the vessel. This intensifier can replace several lump breakers.
Bin Blender Vertical hydraulic clamping type
As regards to its clamping, it happens with the help of three hydraulic cylinders which is a part of the blending arm.
In case of heavy bins, (single column blending) it is ideally used. Mostly for 1500 Ltrs to 3000 Ltrs capacity.
The blender bin will have to be kept at the point of clamping. There is no maneuvering of the blender bin into the blending arm in this case.
All appropriate safety measures are considered. There is a pressure switch in the circuit such that in case of any hydraulic leakage, the main drive motor stops immediately bringing the machine to a halt
