Scissor type work platform employ use of scissors that are attached in series with one another. When the scissors open the lift gains height and vice versa. There is however a limitation to the extent of height that can be accessed by scissor lifts. As the lift gains height it also get more and more unstable. However, it is very stable at the proper height prescribed for scissor lifts. This work platform is operated manually which means at least 2 people are required to work with the lift. i.e. one person operates the lift from below while the other person is on the lift.
