The Pittsburgh lock revolutionized the HVAC industry in the late 1940s and is still used today for its strength and ease in assembling ductwork.

The 14, 16, and 18 gauge Pittsburgh ducting machines have 7 forming machines with 2 forming positions. One inboard position forms the Pittsburgh lock; and one auxiliary or outboard position has the capability of forming 1 of 8 different profiles depending on which auxiliary roll set is ordered. See chart below. The forming speeds for the individual machines are listed in the chart above.

The Button Punch Snap Lock / BP Snap Lock ducting Machines form a two piece seam that greatly simplifies ductwork assembly. The male seam is a button, the female seam is a lock and the two snap together for a flush corner. These ducting machines can form 20 to 30 gauge sheet metal into female locks on the inboard and button punched right angle flanges on outboard rolls at speeds of 60-65 fpm and are available in seven and nine forming station ducting machines. Not only do these locks assemble twice as fast as traditional methods, but because the two pieces nest, they are easier to transport too.

Econo-Slear and Slear-1 Cut to Length line and Multi-Blanking lines feature the continuous production of sheet metal blanks from coil stock, consistently holding sizes and cut to length line tolerances to +/- .030" (0, 8 mm). Beading Machines / Ft Beader is a cost-conscious way to stiffen ductwork. It is 5 times faster than the old method, cross-braking, and uses only one operator. Designed to meet the requirements of SMACNA, this ductwork prep machines produces 5 beads on 12" centers and is adjustable to 3/16" depth. A convenient handwheel raises or lowers, the top roll assembly to set depth of bead. The top and bottom rollers are kept parallel with adjustable screw and pillow block assemblies connected by a link chain. Feed rolls are self-compensating over the entire gauge range. Double entrance feed bars are provided so that material can be gauged from either left or right side. The Iowa Precision Folding machine is a motorized Bending Machines with PLC control used in bending the duct blanks having TDC flanges made on it. Simple dial and pointer bend angle setting. The Folding machine has a slotted bed and solid top forming beam. It is designed to form an L-section or Wrap (one-piece) TDC duct. The TDC Notch Locator positions the duct in the proper bending location for forming. This allows one-person operation. The machines is also designed to form various length fittings with a TDC Flange and Pittsburgh or Snap Lock seams.

We recommend the Folding machine be ordered with the optional precision Back Gauge. This back gauge has a digital readout and allows you to preset the bend dimension. This also allows production bending jobs to be run with consistent piece to piece dimensional accuracy

Use the convenient table slot to turn up a "starting flange" and let it go! A calibrated dial can be set for radii as small as 3-1/4" / 83 mm (or 2"/ 50mm when auto-guide is de-activated). Automatically flange 16 to 26 gauge material at speeds of 18 fpm / 5, 5 Mpm. A non-releasing type head is suitable for open-end fittings, straight and irregular curves.

Fast easy corner insertion and crimping in ducts and fittings

The TDC Corner Fixing Machine / Corner Cadet is a lightweight portable ducting machines for inserting and crimping specially designed Cornermatic TM TDC corners into LOCKFORMER TDC or similar duct flange. This pneumatically powered machines automatically feeds and crimps in seconds. The TDC corner fixing machine works for all ducts and virtually all fittings.

A flexible Lockformer ducting machines designed for super high productivity of inboard cleats. The Lockformer ducting machines has two inboard and two outboard forming positions allowing bearing support on both sides of the profile. The top plate and roll assembly are split into three zones with each having special design details like knurled rolls and angled guides to keep material moving through the machine in a straight line. These zones also can be adjusted by the operator to meet the requirements of a wide variety of gauges.

With 9 forming stations, the C & S Cleatformer can form 20-28 gauge sheet metal into "S" and drive cleats on the inboard forming positions and up to 12 auxiliary roll set profiles on the outboard forming positions at speeds averaging 100 fpm. ESLEAR-3 COIL PROCESSOR (MEDIUM-PRECISION)
The Slear-3 is a fully automated heavy duty Cut to Length line and Multi-Blanking line. Its closed loop servo motor drive ensures highly accurate blanks up to 3/16" (5, 0 mm) thick coil stock up to 72" (1830 mm) wide with blank cut to length line and width tolerances of 0.015" (0, 4 mm). Its variable speed drive features continuous output from 15 ft./min (4, 6 m/min) to 150 ft./min (45, 7 m/min). Adjustable slitter knives with operator access are easily and quickly positioned. The Slear-3 features industrial PC controls allowing one operator to monitor and run the entire line. A host of accessories configure the Slear-3 to meet any user's exacting blanking needs.
