We offer sodium starch glycolate bp (type a). Application in pharmaceutical formulation sodium starch glycolate has unique properties of disintegration in pharmaceutical tablets. It is effective both in tablets prepared by direct compression or wet granulation. Sodium starch glycolate can be used in concentration of 2 to 8% calculated on the weight of the tablet, the most usual concentration is about 4% but in many formulations a concentration of 2% is sufficient.
