Abag house(BH, B/H), bag filter (BF) or fabric filter (FF) is an air pollution control device that removes particulates out of air or gas released from commercial processes or combustion for electricity generation. UnlikeElectrostatic precipitators, where performance may vary significantly depending on the process and electrical conditions, functioning bag houses typically have a particulate collection efficiency of 99% or better, even when the particle size is very small. Baghouses are very efficient particulate collectors because of the dust cake formed on the surface of the bags. The fabric provides a surface on which dust collects through the following four mechanisms.
The three most common types of baghouses are mechanical shakers, reverse gas, and pulse jet. Pulse jet bag filters are basically used in air pollution control equipment. The finest part of this system is that it can filter heavy dust burdens and achieve desired collection efficiency at high temperature.

Acyclonic separationis a method of removingparticulatesfrom an air, gas or liquid stream, without the use offilters. When removing particulate matter from liquids, ahydro cycloneis used; while from gas, a gas cyclone is used.Rotationaleffects andgravityare used to separate mixtures of solids and fluids. The method can also be used to separate fine droplets of liquid from a gaseous stream.
Unlike other pollution control equipment, Cyclone can be designed at severe conditions like high temperature, high dust load, and high-pressure applications giving best possible filtration efficiencies. Cyclone can work with different gases & dust. Multi-Cyclones are offered to handle larger volumes of hot gas and to achieve better emission standards. Mostly used for flue gas filtration from Boilers, Kilns etc. where the operating temperature is high.
