High Impact Polystyrene Sheet (HIPS) is a lightweight, cost-effective and terrifically versatile material which is highly receptive to thermoforming and printing. High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is a rubber modified version of General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS). It exhibits much higher impact strength and in sheet form is easily fabricated and vacuum formed. It is very versatile material and provides a cost effective route to the production of parts for many industrial sectors. Details : Typical examples of suitable applications are Point of Sale displays, handling trays, in-store promotional signs, model making, bespoke enclosures and housings, packaging, tile moulds and many other diverse applications. Often used to create portable and high quality signage, it is also a popular choice of material for the fabrication of prototypes in a number of industries. Benefitting from up to seven times the impact strength of general purpose polystyrene, HIPS sheet produces highly durable finished products and white high impact polystyrene is also FDA approved for food contact. HIPS sheet is unmatched in its high performance combination of versatility, dimensional stability and ability to accommodate printing and painting; it is very easy to see why it is such a popular and widely used material. HIPS for Printing - High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) offers a consistent, easily printed matte surface for either one or two sided printing applications. This polystyrene product, available in HIPS sheet or roll stock form, is especially suitable for Lithographic or Flexographic printing of displays, POP graphics, signs, translights, tags and cards. HIPS for Forming - High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is perfect to be formed for demanding end-use applications in the food, dairy, and medical packaging industries. The properties ensure compliance with strict food and medical regulations. HIPS sheets (also available in roll stock form) are especially suitable for form-fill-seal, thermoforming and die cutting applications. HIPS sheets low residual volatile make it particularly useful in packaging for taste-and-odor-sensitive products. Printing HIPS Applications : Signs I. D. Polypropylene sheet is an incredibly strong and flexible material that is championed for its resistance to impact and corrosive chemicals. It is an excellent plastic sheet for a variety of applications, particularly for hygienic wall cladding and our range includes : White Polypropylene Black Polypropylene Natural Polypropylene Beige Grey Polypropylene Details : Our clear and easy to use ordering system will give you an instant and free quote for your cut to size polypropylene sheet. Now in stock in 3 colours: Natural (semi-translucent white), Beige, and Black. All sheet has a smooth finish with a PE film protection on one side. An embossed finish similar to leather grain is stocked in 3mm black only and does not have a PE film coating. Sheet size is available in standard sizes. Also available in other colours and embossed finishes as makes, together with various filled grades. A common filler is talc which improves stiffness and dimensional stability. Key Properties : Excellent chemical resistance. Very resistant to fatigue from repeated flexing. Long term operating temperature 80 deg Celsius. Maximum short term operating temperature 100 deg Celsius. Very low water absorption. Low coefficient of friction. Good impact resistance. Very easy to fabricate and weld. Difficult to thermoform due to very long heating and cooling cycles and reversion issues. Forming temperature generally between 155 – 175 degrees Celsius. Main Applications : Cutting boards Chemical or water tanks Cladding Automotive under-body mouldings
HDPE sheet is an engineering plastic that is often underestimated and although HDPE is popular, it is sometimes confused with other engineering plastics. HDPE is a shortened name for High Density Polyethylene and available in two main grades, 300 and 500 grade. The higher the HDPE grade number the higher the density of the plastic is which improves the performance of the product. HDPE sheet offers resistance to almost all acids and bases, detergents and hot water. HDPE is an excellent engineering plastic that has many unique and useful properties to offer users who need a varied and combined range of beneficial features. Specifications : Thickness - 2- 300mm. Width - 1000mm, 1200, 1300mm, 1500mm, 2000mm Length - 1500mm, 2000mm, 2375mm, 3000mm, 5000mm Surface - Smooth, Sand or corrugation. Heating size change rate under 80 o C - 52% (standard ≤60% ). Tensile Strength in lengthways - 8.08 Mpa (Standard ≥7.0Mpa). Tensile Strength in transverse - 7.71 Mpa (Standard ≥7.0Mpa). Any color, machining with drawing available.
Our stock range of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) consists of different grades, such as virgin grade, economy grade, acrylic capped and flame retardant, in smooth and embossed finishes. Details : ABS lends itself towards a great number of applications, such as cases, automotive applications, encasings and durable point of sale applications. Our products are available in stock in a wide range of popular sheet sizes, thicknesses, and colours. You may also benefit from our accurate cutting service, or our bespoke service for non stock sizes, colours and materials. Use our experience to help you meet your material requirements. ABS plastic sheets are available in two main grades, engineering grade ABS sheet and vacuum forming grade ABS sheet. ABS is the most widely used engineering thermoplastic today, and is formed by the polymerisation of styrene and acrylonitrile on to thermoplastic rubber which is then melt compounded with styrene acrylonitrile. The combinations of the copolymers gives ABS plastic sheets excellent surface appearance that is scratch resistant and available with smooth or textured surface. ABS plastic has stronger, stiffer and tougher properties than high impact polystyrene (HIPS). ABS plastic has superior resistance to high temperatures and chemicals compared to HIPS. ABS is a light and rigid material used in a variety of applications. ABS plastic sheets can be processed with ease and versatility. They can be machined, turned, drilled, milled, sawed, bored, die-cut, routed and sheared using high speed carbide-tipped tools. ABS can be machine finished by filing, grinding, sanding, buffing and polishing. ABS Plastic Sheet Characteristics : High rigidity and impact strength Excellent chemical resistance Excellent abrasion resistance Excellent electrical properties, moisture and creep resistance ABS has good chemical and stress cracking resistance to inorganic salt solutions, alkalis and many acids (Except strong oxidizing acids) ABS is easily machined to close tolerances, is tough, dimensionally stable and may be thermoformed ABS Plastic Sheet Applications : Automotive interior and exterior Aircraft interior trims Home appliances Architectural model buildings & Prototype Models Luggage Machine parts and rollers
