A Stud is used with a T Nut (as per IS 2015-1977) to position and secure pieces being worked in a workshop. A Stud, also known as a Threaded rod, is a relatively long rod that is Threaded on both ends, the thread may extend along the complete length of the rod. They are designed to be used in tension. Stud is used in Machine Table for Clamping Fixture or Workpiece.
Application: Mainly in Workbench or Machine table of Vertical Milling / Horizontal Milling machine, Drilling machine, Drill Press, VMC, HMC along with stud for Workpiece/Fixture clamping.
A coupling nut, also known as extension nut, is a threaded fastener for joining two male threads, most commonly a threaded rod, but also pipes.
