We are in to manufacturing of HYPN since 1994. More than 1000 installations are the testimony of our expertise and quality of manufacturing. We offer the following products and services.
Water is distributed by gravity from ESRs located at a convenient place. ESRs are in turn are filled from a UGR which receives the water from main balancing reservoir, by using pumps. This gives great opportunity to save capital cost and running cost as seen in the following case study
RAHATNI PUMPING STATION- PIMPRI- PUNE MAHARASHTRA=INDIA
ESR capacity is 4.4 million liters.UGR capacity is 100, 000 liters. A 30 hp pump is used fill the tank in 22 hours. Connecting pipe to UGR is of 400MM DIA via rising main of 900mm dia. The inlet pressure is 2.0kg/cm sq. -Water was taken in UGR to avoid sucking from rising main and creating imbalance to other users connected to the system ESR served only 40000 people.
OUR SOLUTION :We provided online BOOSTER on 400 dia pipe, with Variable frequency Drive. It was possible to fill ESR in less than five hours. The power consumption at reduced speed was less than 30hp.
BENEFITS :ESR could be filled five times per day. The capital invested on ESR could be used for 2 lac people instead of 40 thousand people, apart from saving in energy costs.
The BOOSTER system is working satisfactorily for more than 10 years.
DESIGN :
The system consists of
COMMENTS :. With modern control systems it is possible to modify the existing systems and put the invested capital for multiple fold usage. Millions of people can get better water facilities at marginal costs.
Long distance pumping is a highly challenging job.
VAN ENGGCo was engaged to conceptualize the Design for RAMAKRISHNA GODAVARI LIFT IRRIGATION SCHEME near AURANGABAD in Maharashtra State
( Total hp of pumps in all 3 stages=15000hp, with 1100 dia pipe and total length of RM=27 KM, to irrigate 10000 hectares )
Municipal corporations face water distribution problems, due to undulations in the citys landscape and/or extension of boundaries. These can be solved byINSTALLATION of BOOSTER SYSTEMS. Following case studies explain the application
PANCHAVATI AREA- PASHAN ROAD PUNE
The area is located on higher elevation. If ESR (6 million liter capacity) is kept full, then only 5000 residents would get 20- 25% of their requirement in 12-14 hours. For balance water , TANKERS were used by paying Rs 7000/day.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Proposed a UGR .ESR and Pumping machinery with a Budget og Rs 85 Lacs, and completion period of 14 months. Staff of four people Running cost of Rs 450/day, free land of 5000sq ft.
We atVAN ENGG COproposed to PMC that we would ensure supply of water in the same quantity and pressure with BOOSTER system, at Rs 17 lacs, complete the job in TWO months, system will be automatic, electricity charges will be Rs 200/day, the BOOSER SYSTEM can be installed below the road and it will not be affected by flooding
The BOOSTER SYSTEMis running with utmost satisfaction for last 15 years. .

APPLICATION :
We design, manufacture, supply, erect and commission complete
We supply erect and commission Pump house equipments consisting of following
Hydro-Boost-M are packaged pumping systems incorporating Multiple Monoblock pumps, diaphragm tanks, control panel duly piped and wired and are dispatched in ready-for-installation condition. The Hydro Boost units are fully tested. The pumps motors, electrical are chosen from a wide range of reliable Manufacturers like Kirloskar, L & T, Siemens etc.
OPERATION :
The pumps start/stop automatically, sensing drop/rise in pressure, when outlets are opened/closed. The low demands are met by the diaphragm tanks. The running of appropriate pumps in their high efficiency zone, ensures, saving of energy from zero to peak load.
APPLICATION :
Multistoried Buildings, Bungalows, Apartments, Industries, Automatic Water Supply & Pressure Boosting. First Air Fire Fighting, for Cleaning & Washing, and Innumerable others.
SALIENT FEATURES
Bladder vessels alleviate negative pressures more effectively, than other forms of water hammer protection, and they can maintain a positive pressure in the pipe line at all stages following pump trip. This is accomplished by forcing water out of the vessel in to cavity, otherwise created following pump trip or flow stoppage at upstream end. The pre charged compressed air forces water from the BLADDER vessel in to the pipe line allowing the water column travelling up the pipe line to maintain its momentum. Friction and other head losses tend to reduce the water velocity and therefore subsequent oscillations.
The outflow from the Bladder Vessel is throttled to some extent . The outflow line consists of a non return valve. The return flow back in to Bladder vessel is appropriately throttled by the smaller size by pass line, which is provided with a control valve to adjust the throttling as per site requirement. In this manner continuous deceleration occurs by returning water column and y by air cushion.
The vessel is made out of high tensile carbon steel and is manufactured to rigid quality standards, as burst vessels containing air are more dangerous than those containing only liquid. The Bladder is sandwiched between top and bottom flanges as shown in the catalogue. Entrapped air from the Bladder will be removed by the air valve located at the top flange.
For special application where it is essential to allow air entry in to pipeline, we can provide arrangement, such that, the Bladder vessel forces water and then the air to contain oscillation of water columns.
The Bladder is coated with food grade Butyl rubber for normal water application. For sewage water we can supply Bladders coated with Nitrile rubber. For petroleum products the pre charge will be of Nitrogen and Bladder will be coated with nitrile rubber.
We can design optimum size of the Bladder vessel for a particular site by using simplified monographs presented byD.Stephenson, F.ASCE
Features :
Air chambers (also called as Hydro pneumatic tanks) have proved to be most effective devices for control of water hammer, but are complicated and expensive. VAN make BLADDER VESSELS are improved air vessels, and eliminate all inconveniences of old Air vessel designs. Indigenously designed and produced, more than 1000 Bladder vessels are in use, since last 20 years.
