MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) is a type of wastewater treatment technology that uses a combination of biological and physical processes to remove organic and inorganic pollutants from wastewater. In an MBBR-based effluent treatment plant, wastewater is passed through a reactor tank containing suspended carriers on which microorganisms grow and form a biofilm.
MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) based Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is a technology that combines biological treatment with membrane filtration in order to treat wastewater. This technology is highly effective in removing pollutants from wastewater and producing clean water that can be reused for various purposes.
A Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant is a wastewater treatment system designed to eliminate all liquid waste streams that are typically discharged into the environment or sewer system. In a ZLD plant, wastewater is treated using a combination of physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove pollutants and contaminants. The treated water is then reused, while the remaining solid waste and brine are either disposed of or further treated to recover valuable resources.
