Cylindrical copper vessel 180x115 mm (height x dia.), with filling tube, steam vent and vertical tube terminating the chute passing through side of vessel. Brass tube, a sliding fit in the central tube, to carry thermometer. Lower end cut at an angle to seal the chute.
Function generator offers excellent waves shape, signal linearity, waveform symmetry and frequency range from 1Hz-100 KHz.
Selection of sine, square and triangle wave and amplitude variable from 0 to 10 V
The instrument is designed using easy obtainable parts which present trouble free service.
Hand operated on base. The generator is self exiting and charge separation occurs. A metal sphere surrounds the upper pulley assembly and charge accumulates on the sphere, which is insulated by a plastic column supporting the pulley assembly. The charge builds up untill electrical breakdown of air surrounding the sphere occurs. Supplied with a discharging sphere.
