Spur Gear

Helical Gear

Helical gear is a cylindrical gear wheel having the tooth form generated on a helical path about the axis of the wheel. While meshing these angled teeth creates a thrust load on the gears, the teeth of the helical gear are curved along the helical path and these gear engages more gradually than the spur gear. It provides a stronger, smoother and quieter operation because of its successive teeth coming in to action and it transfers load uniform and gradual. Worm Wheel

A worm consisting of a threaded shaft that mates with a worm wheel so that the rotary motion can be transferred at right angle to each other. Because of the high ratios possible with worm gearing maximum speed reduction can be accomplished in less space than many other types of gears. Internal Gears

An internal gear is the one with the teeth formed on the inner surface of a cylinder or cone, with teeth that are parallel to the axis of rotation.
