Pyrophyllite is isomorphous with the common mineral Talc, but has aluminium in place of the magnesium. lt is very similar to Talc, with very similar properties and habits. It is of metamorphic origin formed as a result of metamorphism of deposits containing Kaoline, diosbore, quartz assemblage.
