MOODRIVE (Modafinil) belongs to a class of medications known as wakefulness promoting agents. It is widely used for the treatment of excessive sleep caused due to narcolepsy or other sleep disorders .

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Modafinil acts as an atypical, selective, and weak dopamine reuptake inhibitor which indirectly activates the release of orexin neuropeptides and histamine from the lateral hypothalamus, which may contribute to heightened arousal.

txl plus is composed of two medicines, namely; trifluoperazine and trihexyphenidyl.
trihexyphenidyl belongs to a class of drugs called antimuscarinics and trifluoperazine belongs to a class of drugs known as phenothiazine antipsychotics.

mechanism of action :
trifluoperazine is an antipsychotic. it works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. however, it may cause side effects such as involuntary movements (shaking of hands, muscle spasms). trihexyphenidyl is added to treat and prevent these side effects.
