Asafoetida is a natural product, a resinous plant gum obtained from the herb (not mentioned) with its origin at south western asia, i.e., western afghanistan and eastern iran. Apart from “raw asafoetida”, wheat flour and edible gums are the ingredients of the chakra compounded asafoetida.it is marketed as semi solid cake and also in powder form. The cake form is dark brown in colour and the colour of the powder form is mixed white. chakra compounded asafoetida is available both in cake form and powder form. The cake form is packed in cartons and the powder form both in plastic container and laminated pouches.
