SMARTsaa offers Pull Cord Switch Series PC to stop the conveyor belt in the case of emergency. It is a safety device which when operated stops the belt conveyor motor and provides audio visual alarm.
Pull Cord Switch is housed in dust and weatherproof cast aluminum enclosure with IP 65 Grade of protection. Sturdy & heavy duty cam-switch with robust contacts is used to give longer service life. Handle fitted with spring steel rings at both ends is provided for fixing the rope. The design of the rings gives maximum flexibility in operating condition. Enclosure is epoxy painted to give high corrosion resistance. The switch is designed with manual reset type of mechanism. Pull Cord switch is mounted on the walkway side of the conveyor belt, preferably at about every 30 meters of the length. Rope is tied to the end rings of the handle. When the rope is pulled from any side, the switch is operated. Unless and until the handle is reset to normal position manually, the switch remains in operated condition. SMARtsaa offers Heavy Duty Limit Switch for use on heavy machines. These switches give position feedback by operation of contact.
APPLICATIONS:The applications include position sensing of crane, stacker reclaimer, loader etc. The robust design makes its use on heavy machinery.
These switches have been developed to meet the requirement of Extra Heavy Duty service as found in cranes, in mining, foundries, steel plants etc. where limit switches have to withstand high electrical and mechanical wear. The roller limit switch is used on cranes, stackers and reclaimers to sense position end of travel etc.The heavy duty roller and actuation mechanism makes it immune for impact of these machinery. The bodies and covers are fabricated out of thick cast iron/ Al enclosures, which are resistant against corrosion and rough handling.
Two types of actuation mechanism are offered 1) Stay put type where the switch remains in actuated position and same gets reset only when the lever is pushed back by operating mechanism.2. Spring Return Type where the roller regains its position when the operating mechanism goes away.
