Contact SupplierZinc is a major nutrient and its deficiency may result into lower yield and diseased crop. Initial symptoms start with interveinal chlorosis leading to a reduction in shoot growth and shorting of middle leaf, little leaf etc. Zinc solubilizing bacteria is biological fertilizer based on a selected strain of naturally occurring beneficial autotropic, acidophilic bacteria. It is a gram negative, rod shaped, nonsporing bacteria. It is used as an effective soil inoculant. It produces acids and converts the insoluble Zinc Sulphide, Zinc Oxide and Zinc Carbonate into available Zn+ through lowering the soil ph and breaking down complex.
Mode of action : The bacteria require inorganic molecules as an electron donor and inorganic carbon as a source. It obtains nutrients by oxidizing iron and sulphur with oxygen. It grows at pH values of 4.5 to 1.3 and derives its biosynthetic requirements by autotrophy. It uses carbon from atmospheric carbon dioxide. It also fixes nitrogen in acidophilic habitats.
Benefits:
Improves the availability of zinc in soil and suitable for all crops.
It helps to increase the crop yield and improves the soil health by enhancing the nutrient content.
It secrets various acids that helps to decrease the Ph of the soil. Due to this, the complex insoluble compounds like zinc sulphide, zinc oxide and zinc carbonate are synthesized into soluble form of zinc that can be absorbed by the plants.
It is essential for the formation of plant cells.
