Wuthering Heights is a story of immense love, romance, revenge, and greed that leaves the reader all shocked. When Mr. Earnshaw brings home Heathcliff from his trip to Liverpool, everyone is astonished. Heathcliff does not receive any affection and love from his new step-brother, Hindley but has caught the attention of Catherine, Mr. Earnshaw’s daughter. Heathcliff adjusts himself in the new household accepting all the torture and ill-treatment he receives from others, meanwhile, he is drawn close to Catherine. But the turn of events happens as such that even though being in love, Catherine decides to marry Edith Linton of Thrushcross Grange. Heathcliff, disheartened leaves Wuthering Heights for some time and returns with anger, revenge, and hatred in his eyes.
