African mask of the mysterious and beautiful ancient african wall,
hand carved from rich, glossy rosewood or mahogany wood, lights up
with the character and warmth. It is carved with the image of a
beautiful african traditionla rulers and great historians, with a
laugh mouth open and eyes smiling crescent. Teeth and eyes are inlaid
separate roomsthe teeth appear to be carved oxbone and eyes are
probably small pieces of shell. It is beautiful in every detail here:
each tooth is cut individually, and the wood is polished to a
beautiful smooth finish. Wood is a beautiful dark red-brown color with
a rich and warm appearance. This beautiful wood carving was made in
africa, probably in the nineteenth century. I'm not sure whether this
mask is supposed to represent any character in particulara goddess,
an empress, or character of a mythbut it certainly looks like she
