White Portland Cement is manufactured from raw materials having very little iron and magnesia, primarily to improve its whiteness. The clinker of white cement has very low tetra calcium alumino-ferrite (C4AF) content and a high tri calcium silicate (C3S) content. High C3S content and fineness make white cements susceptible to shrinkage cracking.
