White Pepper Powder, For Cooking

White pepper is from exactly the same plant as black pepper (Piper Nigrum), sometimes called “peppercorns”. White pepper is actually a black peppercorn, but with the shell removed – this means that white pepper is slightly mellower in taste. White pepper has the advantage that, when used in a dish where ground black pepper would be visible, it can be used for a more aesthetically pleasing result.
