ight: Cattleyas require bright diffused light to grow and flower well. Early morning or late evening sun too is fine. Too much light will lead to leaf scorch and browning of leaves. Less light will lead to dark green leaves ( soft growth ) and the plants will not flower.

Water: Watering once a day is fine. The growing media can dry out between watering! During winter months ? it can be reduced to alternate days. Make sure that the leaves or pseudo-bulbs do not shrivel.
Water - water daily. The potting medium should be very open and should not hold any water. A tray filled witn brick crocks or broken pots and water below the plants - helps maintain humidity in dry summer months.
