It is a anionic surfactant which provide a wide variety of functional properties that include surface and interfacial tension reduction, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying, penetrating, and solubilizing. This property can be advantageously used in certain processes by using its rapid wetting in solutions and then destroying the surface activity.
