Om Fastener Wedge Anchors are fully threaded, stud type, high-grade steel anchors for use in solid concrete or grout-filled concrete masonry. It is assembled with a three-segment expansion clip and supplied complete with nut and washer. Expansion clip ensures uniform holding capacity that increases as tension is applied. The threaded stud version is available in six diameters and multiple lengths. Threaded studs are set by tightening the nut. Wedge anchors are best suited to static applications.

    Features
1)Non bottom bearing: No need for exact hole depth - Hole bottom not required to set anchor.
2)Dual embossments on each clip segment: Enables clip to undercut into the concrete thereby increasing follow-up expansion should a crack occur.
3)Type 316 stainless-steel clip on stainless steel anchors: In addition to superior corrosion resistance, a stainless-steel clip offers "memory" that contributes to the anchor's performance if the hole increases in size because of a crack.
4)High Performance: Anchorage occurs near bottom of hole giving a true 360° of contact.

    Technical Descriptions

    Suitable for :

    • Concrete
    • Dense Natural Stone
    How to Install :
1)Drill a hole in the base material using a carbide drill bit of same diameter as the nominal diameter of the anchor to be installed. To ensure proper and secure fit, the hole drilled in the concrete should be the same diameter as the thread on the concrete wedge anchor.
2)Drill the hole to the specified embedment depth and blow it clean using compressed air blower or a brush. Overhead installations need not be blown clean. Alternatively, drill the hole deep enough to accommodate embedment depth and dust from drilling.
3)Assemble the anchor with nut and washer so that the top of the nut is flush with the top of the anchor. Place the Welfast Wedge Anchor in the fixture and drive into the hole using a hammer until washer and nut are tight against the fixture. The anchor must be driven until at least six threads are below the surface of the fixture.
4)Tighten the nut to the recommended installation torque.
5)Using a proper sized hammer, set pin with several accurate strikes on the head of the pin until the pin is flush with the top of the anchor. The concrete anchor is now properly set eliminating the need to torque the nut to set the anchor.
