Treatments such as depilatory waxes and lotions can act as sources for disease transmission if they are incorrectly handled.
It is recommended that a separate wax pot be used for each client. Wax pots must be thoroughly cleaned between clients.
Disposable equipment such as waxing spatulas should be used to apply the wax. Disposable cottongauze pads and strips should be used to remove the wax and disposed of immediately after use.
