This process involves removing the mineral salts from water by ion-exchange. In this Water Demineralisation Plant, impurities that remains dissolved in water, dissociate to form positive and negative charged particles known as ions. There is an ion-exchange vessel in it that holds the required ion-exchange resin through which water is allowed to pass. In this Water Demineralisation Plant the selective ions in the water are exchanged with ions or radicals which are loosely held by the resin. Our Water Demineralisation Plant allows the water to pass through several vessels or a mixed bed vessel so that both positive and negative ions are removed and water is demineralization.

• Two-bed Deionization : There is two-bed deionizer containing two vessels in it. One vessel contains a cation-exchange resin in the hydrogen (H+) form and the other vessel contains an anion resin in the hydroxyl (OH-) form. The Water flows through the cation columns, where for hydrogen ions, the cations are exchanged
• Water is electrically balanced and for every monovalent cation, e.g. Na+, one hydrogen ion is exchanged and for every divalent cation, e.g. Ca2+, or Mg2+, two hydrogen ions are exchanged. Same steps are followed for considering anion-exchange
• Desalinized water then flows through the anion column. This time, all the negatively charged ions are exchanged. Hydroxide ions are then combined with the hydrogen ions to form water (H2O)
