Sajavat has been a renowned name in the wallpaper industry since three decades. Mr. Shabbir .E. Lokhandwala started this journey way back in 1970 with a small retail shop. Initially for the first few years he focused on selling and fixing Indian wallpapers and vinyl floorings along with his father's hardware business.
His urge to do something different took him to places. He was the first to bring the concept of imported wallpapers. While at the same time he was the only one to manufacture Indian wallpaper in the width of 40'. This was sold under the brand name of 'HIT' which hit the market really well and made his career a major 'HIT' too.
Then he started importing wallpapers from Germany which were 100% washable and marketed the same exclusively. Sajavat's main growth was between 1980 - 1990 where it had nearly 7 branches all over Mumbai. He built a strong dealer network and created a wide market base for all his products all over India. By now he had exclusive agencies for BHOR MARBLEX, Krishna Vinyl PVC Floorings, Heritage surface textures, RASCH Wallpaper, Germany.
Over the years his son Murtuza .S. Lokhandwala joined the business and then they started a new company in the name of SAJAVAT Inc. They realized that the value addition is the key to growth. This led them to import yet another exclusive & innovative product of Glass & Furniture films which they imported from Germany in 1991. Sajavat & Sajavat Inc has consistently fed the market with new products at affordable prices. We have always concentrated and delivered to the Indian market products of the best quality.
