The Vortex Filter is highly efficient two staged air filtration and drying system using the principle of Coalescent Filtering and Micro-Vortex Motion. In the first stage of the process of Vortex Filter, coalescence takes places as wet, oily and dirty air is made to spin and tumble through an in-depth-bed made of Stainless Steel fine wire. Moisture in the air condenses into droplets by centrifugal force, which along with other contaminants travels down the wire to the bottom of the filter cartridge and on to a honeycomb structure. Water subsequently drains out. Compressed air leaving the first stage contains only trace quantities of moisture, oil vapor and particles of size lesser than 10 microns. In the second stage of Vortex Filter air enters a tightly wound filter element made up of highly absorbent, long staple cotton backed by S S wires for it breaks down into small vortices called Micro Vortices. This phenomenon is known as Vortex Shedding. Small micro vortices are formed with a vacuum where water particles are trapped. Then the water particles disintegrate and evaporate. Another phenomenon also takes place simultaneously by which remaining water particles are dried by the flowing air through Absorbed and Dry principle. This results in 100% elimination of liquid water content. Oil droplets coalesce in the first stage, while oil vapor is absorbed by the second stage elements, effectively removing 99% of oil content. A filtration efficiency of 100% is achieved for solid particles of 5 micron size and 50% for 1. Features :
