VORICONAZOLE INJECTION

Voriconazole is a potent third generation antifungal agent. It is the first-line treatment of life-threatening fungal infections like acute invasive aspergillosis (ia). It is considered the best treatment for cns aspergillosis together with neurosurgical management, whenever feasible. It has produced encouraging response in subacute invasive or chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (cpa).
Indications:
for use in patients 12 years of age and older in the treatment of the following fungal infections:
invasive aspergillosis
candidemia in non-neutropenic patients and some candida infectionslike disseminated infections in skin and infections in abdomen, kidney, bladder wall, and wounds
esophageal candidiasis
serious fungal infections caused by scedosporium apiospermum (asexual form of pseudallescheria boydii) and fusarium spp. I0ncluding fusarium solani, in patients intolerant of, or refractory to, other therapy
