    Chloramphenicol
    • A broad-spectrum antibiotic solution that is used to treat Gram+ ve & Gram-ve bacterial infections of the eye
    • Effectively treats superficial eye infections of the conjunctiva or cornea
    • Works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them

    Sulphacetamide Sodium
    • A competitive inhibitor of bacterial para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA)
    • An essential component for bacterial growth
    • Also blocks the intracellular synthesis of the folic acid in the pathogenic microorganisms
    • Inhibits the activity of some enzymes, which catalyzes metabolic and other processes in the microorganisms: cytochrome c. glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, peroxidases, etc.

    • Corneal ulcer
    • Bacterial conjunctivitis
    • Superficial mixed ocular infections
    • Trachoma & its secondary infections

    Dosage : As directed by the physician
    Direction : use the solution within one month after opening the vial.
