What is a "Ruh"?
Ruhs are hydro-distilled under low heat and pressure, just as for an attar, only without sandalwood oil in the receiving vessel. Ruhs are the pure essential oil, all by itself. Authentic ruhs require a huge amount of labor and fresh materials, which makes them costly items to produce. Ruhs are very rare and precious.
Uses : Vetiver is an ancient remedy within Ayurveda - the root and its essential oil are used to alleviate thirst, heatstroke, fevers and headache. The essential oil is applied as part of a liniment to relive inflammatory disorders of the joints and skin, and may be used for rheumatoid arthritis and eczema.
