Modern Laminators Limited, the flagship company of the group was established in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1975 as ancilliary unit to Fertilizer Corporation of India’s Gorakhpur plant. The unit manufactured jute bags which was supplied for packaging of fertilizer. The company started supplying jute bags to other reputed fertilizer comapanies. Polymer processing was started way back in 1982 with the establishment of its first PVC pipes manufacturing facility. Today, it is one of the leading Government supplier of PVC pipes in Uttar Pradesh.
Manufacture of HDPE/PP bags was started in 1999 in Gorakhpur, UP, India. Since then, the group has become the biggest suppliers of fertilizer packaging bags in the country.
In 2004, Modern Packaging Private Limited was set up in Gorakhpur, UP to meet the growing demads of woven sacks. Today, the company specialises in manufacturing of light weight fabrics and speciality bags.
In 2009, the second unit of Modern Laminators Limited was started in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India to cater to customers in Western India.
In 2012, the latest project for manufacture of AD*Star Block Bottom bags, through patented technology procured from Starlinger & Co., Austria, was started in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The entire machinery for this project has been inported from Starlinger, Austria.
