Christmas palm Veitchia merrillii is known by several common names like Christmas Palm, Manila Palm, Kerpis Palm, Adonidia, Dwarf Royal Palm, it is categorized under palm family, Arecaceae and native to Philippines and surrounding areas. Christmas Palm is medium size single trunk palm which is a long-time favorite landscaping palm, it grows up to 20 feet tall with a 5-10 feet wide crown.

Christmas palm tolerates cold temperatures down to 0 degree celsius for a short period of time, it loves full sun and hot summer conditions. It is a low maintenance palm does not require to water or fertilizers frequently. Moderate watering and strong NPK fertilizer twice a year during growing season will be sufficient to keep it growing.
