Batch refining line plant
batch refining is the oldest method for chemically refining vegetable oils. The method can produce good quality oil .advantages include : low investment,no soap stock production,effluent generation is low, very easy to operation and easy maintainence. These type of refineries are used for low capacity plants.
Neutralizing section
the short mix plant is built up as an entirely closed system and is designed to handle vegetable oils in the following operations.
de-gumming :
1. acid water de-gumming
2. gum conditioning with concentrated phosphoric acid.
Bleaching section
bleaching processsection. The feed oil enters the bleacher through the bleaching heater where the oil comes heated up to bleaching temperature and discharged into the slurry mixer. A valve dosing system proportions bleaching earth. The earth is introduced under the oil spray in the mixing chamber for improved mixing so that earth does not enter the bleaching vacuum system.
Dewaxing section
the traditional crystallization is a thermo mechanical separation process where high and low melting triglycerides are separated by partial crystallization followed by filtration.
