Vasicine is found to be highest during flowering and low during vegetative growth and it is recommended to collect the plant during March for maximum medicinal value.   Uses and Advance Studies:   • Its used in Herbal Medicines as an expectorant, antispasmodic and other chest affections, in the treatment of tuberculosis, haemorrhages and in helmenthiasis.• Smoke of leaves give relief from asthma.• Useful in cough, cold, asthma, fever.
