"vaiseshika" dc standard resistor type : 9409 has been designed and fabricated to meet the precision calibration requirements. these standard resistors can serve the purpose of precision resistance calibration standards in components manufacturing industries to compare the accuracy of components manufactured (like capacitors, resistors, potentiometers and trim pots), in quality control and instrumentation laboratories for calibration of process control instruments, in various type of thermocouples like j, k, r, s & t, rtds and in engineering laboratories for resistance simulation and instrument calibrations.

four terminal method employed for resistance measurement to compensate lead resistance.
resistance unaffected by variation in temperature due to very low temperature co-efficient.
resistance corresponds to german standards din 17471 & tolerance standards conforms to din 46461 of federal physical laboratory, germany.

We have established strategic research and development alliances with eminent national research laboratories and universities viz. the Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO) Chandigarh; the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) New Delhi; the Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (ERTL), New Delhi; the Electronics Test and Development Centre (ETDC), Mohali: the Electronics Research and Development Centre (ERDC), Ambala and the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani.

The Vaiseshika Laboratory is compliant to ISO 17025 Standards for DC Volt and DC Resistance electrical parameters.
