    PULLEYS :
    SPECIAL MAINTANENCE ELECTRODES
    V pulley are manufactured mainly from cast iron and should to IS 3142 and BS 3790.

     

    SELECTION OF PULLEYS :
    For pulley selection, observe the following rules:

    Use Standard pulley diameter: Choice of standard pulley diameter helps in reduced cost easy availability.

    Balanced pulleys: V pulleys should always be statically balanced. For drives where belt speeds exceed 30 m/s, PULLEY NEED TO BE DYNAMICALLY BALANCED.

    Avoid using pulleys with diameter lower than minimum recommended :
    Use of pulley diameter below minimum recommended for a section increase bending stress and greatly reduces belt services life.
