On the other hand, washed coco peat often has a reddish-brown color and is very moist. Unwashed coco peat is commonly used as a plant potting mix, hydroponic growing medium, and animal bedding. It is exported to various countries, including Spain, America, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, and others. However, even treated coconut humus may produce brown water when soaked, making this method subjective and only partially accurate.
