Indication : Emergency contraception. Menopausal HRT.
Contra Indication : Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe arterial disease, porphyria, after recent evacuation of hydatidiform mole.
Precaution : Hypersensitivity. steroid dependent cancer, past ectopic pregnancy, functional ovarian cysts, recurrent cholestatic jaundice, asthma, epilepsy, migraine, conditions aggravated by fluid retention.
Side Effects : Nausea and vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities, gynaecomastia, fluid retention, oedema, changes in libido, cholestatic jaundice, benign intracranial hypertension.
