MULTI TUBULAR GAUNTLETS (P.T.BAGS) was invented in USA in early 19s and spread all over the world in the 20s. At the beginning it was made from PVC and fiber glass which was than replaced by woven Gauntlet made of polyester yarn. The main advantage of the positive Tubular plates is the long service life compared to flat paste plates.
The use of 100% polyester, high tenacity chlorine free yarn allows the Multi Tubular Gauntlets to withstand with the Cyclic expansion of active material. The engineered fabrics coated with synthetic resin which can give the stiffness and enhanced oxidation resistance to the Multi Tubular Gauntlet. Designing and weaving is the other crucial stage in manufacturing of Gauntlets. Fine weave of the fabrics gives unique porosity and high mechanical strength. Half insulation of Gauntlet is the other important criteria in Multi Tubular Gauntlet to prevent lateral short-circuit along the side.
